Used actively in medical terminology to denote a condition of sensitivity to pain as specified by the combining root.

orchalgia, orchialgia, orchidalgia, orchioneuralgia (s) (noun) (no pl)
Pain in the testis: Orchalgia can occur because of kidney stones, testicula cancer, and an injury among other causes.
ostealgia, ostalgia, ostalgy (s) (noun), ostalgias (pl)
Pain in a bone or in the bones: There are many reasons for ostealgia and among them are leukaemia, a bone tumor, and a fracture.
osteoneuralgia (s) (noun) (no pl)
Neuralgia or severe pain along a nerve connected to a bone: Osteoneuralgia may be caused by damaged nerves of the bone.

An earache; neuralgic pain in the ear: Jack learned that there were several reasons for a condition of otalgia including an ear infection, a sinus infection, and a hole in the eardrum.

Earache of neuralgic origin, not caused by inflammation: The otorhinolayrnologist told Jane that she had a condition of otoneuralgia which caused such an intense and stabbing pain originating from an irritation or damage to a nerve.

Pain in an ovary: Some causes of ovarialgia include ovarian cancer, ovulation, and endometriosis.

A sharp pain: Because Jane was experiencing a very sudden and abrupt twinge in her body, she asked her doctor who diagnosed her as having oxyalgia and sent her to the hospital for further examinations.

Pain involving the whole body: A few reasons for a condition of pantalgia can be the flu, insomnia, and stress.
para-analgesia, paranalgesia (s) (noun) (no pl)
Analgesia (absence of pain) of the lower part of the body: Following the operation, Dr. Smart examined his patient and determined a condition of para-analgesia in which Jim, the patient, could not feel anything, especially no pain in his legs when stimulated.

Paranalgesia is a condition where there is an insensitivity to pain, usually following an interruption of the nerve supply or under the influence of a drug that blocks the pain sensation while the individual is fully conscious.

A disordered sensibility to pain: Paralgesia involves the absence of sensibility to pain, excessive sensibility to pain, and abnormal painful results of stimuli.

Paralgia is an abnormal or unusual pain, including any disorder or abnormality of the sense of pain.

patellalgia (s) (noun) (no pl)
A painful condition involving the patella (a bone at the front of the knee): When Jeff fell down he hurt his kneecap badly, and after Dr. Great examined him, he was informed that he had patellalgia involving the bone at the front of the knee joint.
pectoralgia (s) (noun), pectoralgias (pl)
Pain in the chest; stethalgia; thoracalgia; thoracodynia: There are different origins for pectoralgia, and among them are anxiety, heartburn, and muscle strain.
pedalgia (s) (noun) (no pl)
Pain in the foot or feet: The elderly Mrs. Hathaway didn't like walking anymore because he feet hurt her, and after seeing her doctor, she was informed that she had pedalgia causing her to suffer when on her feet.

A condition of pedalgia can b e caused by bunions, arthritis, and calluses, among other reasons.

Neuralgia (pain) in the soles of the foot or feet: Sam learned that there were a few reasons for pedialgia including arthritis, a hammertoe, and gout.
