merergastic
A reference to any disorder which results in a partial inability to work or to function; which may occur in a neuroses.
merispore
A secondary spore, one resulting from the segmentation of another (compound or septate) spore.
meristic
1. Indicating symmetry or serial division in the arrangement of parts.
2. Referring to or divided into segments or parts.
meroacrania
The developmental absence of a part of the cranium.
meroandrouis
Having fewer testes than is normal.
meroblastic
Dividing only in part, referring to an egg in which the cleavage divisions are confined to the animal pole, owing to the presence of a large amount of yolk.
merocoxalgia (s) (noun), merocoxalgias (pl)
A painful condition of the thigh and hip: Because old Mrs. Brown suffered from merocoxalgia, she couldn't walk very well and never to far and spent most of her time in a wheel chair.
merocrine
A reference to glands in which the act of secretion leaves the cell itself intact; for example, in salivary and pancreatic glands.
meroencephaly
The developmental absence of a part of the brain; such as, the cerebellum or the corpus callosum (transverse nerve fibers that connect the two cerebral hemispheres).
merogenesis
1. Reproduction, or multiplication, by segmentation.
2. Cleavage of an ovum.
merogenic, merogenetic
Relating to or characterized by merogenesis or cleavage.
merogony
1. The development of only a portion of an egg.
2. The incomplete development of an ovum that has been fragmented or disorganized.

If the egg contains only the male pronucleus, the development is termed andromerogony, and if only the female pronucleus, gynomerogony.

merology
The study of rudimentary tissues.
meromelia
1. Partial absence of a free limb; such as, hemimelia, phocomelia.
2. Congenital absence of part of an arm or leg.
meromicrosomia
1. An abnormal smallness of some part or structure of the body.
2. The developmental smallness of a part of the body.

The term is used in reference to a bodily part not readily described by the prefix micro-; as with reference to specific body organs or regions.
