narcomaniac (s) (noun), narcomaniacs (pl)
Someone who suffers from an uncontrollable craving for a drug that produces drowsiness or deep sleep during normal waking hours.
narcosomania (s) (noun), narcosomanias (pl)
An insane craving for an unconsciousness that is produced by a drug.
nautomania (s) (noun), nautomanias (pl)
A morbid interest in ships or large bodies of water.
necromania
1. A morbid tendency to dwell with, or a longing for, death.
2. A morbid attraction to dead bodies.
necromaniac
1. Someone who has a pathological preoccupation with dead bodies or the subject of death.
2. A person with a morbid attraction to dead bodies.
3. Anyone who has a morbid tendency to long for, or to desire, death.
nepiomania
An abnormally strong desire by a woman to have a baby.

An intense obsession with islands.

Coined by psychiatrist, Nathan Shapira, of the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Shapira thinks that excessive online use should be considered not as a separate addiction but as a disorder of impulse control, in the same category as kleptomania or compulsive shopping. (As seen in USA Today, June 1, 1998).

niphomania
An abnormal desire to have snow and to be active in snowy surroundings.
noctimania, noctomania
An intense fascination with night as opposed to daylight.
nosomania
1. An obsession with imagined disease; such as, hypochondriacism or hypochondriasis.
2. An unfounded morbid belief that one is suffering from some special disease.
nostomania (s) (noun) (uncountable)
1. An exaggerated form of longing and reminiscence: Jane had been depressed and discontent for a long time and the doctor finally found out that she had a case of nostomania, being wistful and yearning for something she couldn't quite explain.
2. An intense homesickness or an irresistible urge to return home: Tom had been away at boarding school for only 3 months when he had a ver strong longing to visit his parents in his village and because of this condition of nostomania he booked his flight the very next day!
3. An overwhelming desire to go back to familiar places: Lynn always wanted to show her children where she came from, and after a spell of nostomania, they all traveled to California to visit all the wonderful sites, regions, and localities where she had been as a child and teenager.
A compulsion to return to one's home.
