astroid belt
A ring of asteroids possibly containing thousands of big rocks several miles in diameter, and millions of smaller chunks.

The asteroid belt is between 2 and 3.5 astronomical units (AU) from the sun, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

astroite
A radiated stone or fossil; a star-stone.
astrokinetic
A reference to the movement of the stars.
astrolabe
An instrument for measuring the altitude of the sun and stars, widely used by astronomers until replaced by the sextant.

Invented by the ancient Greeks and improved by the Arabs, it was an important navigation aid for explorers; such as, Columbus.

A person who worships the heavenly bodies.

The worship of the heavenly bodies or the stars.

1. The field of astrogeology (a planetary science discipline concerned with the geology of the celestial bodies; such as, the planets and their moons, asteroids, comets, and meteorites) which focuses on the study of rocks and the conditions by which they form.
2. The science of meteoritic stones.
astrolog
An astrology software program that can create horoscopes, natal charts, and calculate current planetary positions in sidereal, traditional, and heliocentric formats.
astrologaster
A term referring to a fraudulent astrologer.
astrologer
1. Someone who predicts the future by the positions of the planets and sun and moon.
2. Anyone who professes to foretell events by the aspects and situations of the stars.
3. A person who studies, teaches, or makes astrological charts for human beings and group activities on the planet, in relationship to the influence of the stars and planets.
astrologian
Formerly, someone who understood the motions of the planets, without making predictions.
astrologic
Referring to astrology or professing or practicing astrology.
astrological
Relating to or concerned with astrology; such as, astrological learning or astrological prognostication.
astrological birth control
A theory that a woman's fertile days can be determined with her relationship to the sun and the moon according to her birth date.
astrological influences
Cosmic rays which can alter the nature of a person's body chemistry and electrical polarity according to the rapport of the body with the twelve sun signs.
