polymenorrhea
Abnormally frequent menstruation, defined as that occurring at regular intervals of less than 21 days. Synonym: epimenorrhea.
psychorrhea
1. Rarely used term for a psychiatric syndrome characterized by incoherent and strange philosophical theories; a manifestation of schizophrenia.
2. A form of hebephrenic schizophrenia characterized by vague and often bizarre theories of philosophy; usually, the stream of thought is incoherent.
ptyalorrhea
The excessive secretion of saliva.
pyorrhea
1. Inflammation of the gums with a loosening of the teeth and a discharge of pus from the tooth sockets.
2. Any discharge of pus from any bodily organ or cavity.
pyorrheal
A reference to or characterized by periodontitis or marginal periodontitis.

Periodontitis is a dental disorder that results from progression of gingivitis, involving inflammation and infection of the ligaments and bones that support the teeth.

A discharge of a watery or a slimy substance from the nasal mucous membrane: A rhinorrhea is the discharge of cerebrospinal, or the brain and spinal fluid, through the nose following a head injury.

Seborrhea of the scalp: Peter noticed that his head was itching, and his dermatologist said that he had a condition of seborrhea capitis, a disease relating to the increase and quality of the fats formed by the sebaceous follicles.

A form of seborrheic dermatitis characterized by dry scaling: Stella's hands were becoming extremely dry and, after her dermatologist examined her skin, she was told that she had seborrhoea sicca, which caused the dryness of the skin to be itchy and to peel off.

Seborrheic dermatitis occurring in a newborn infant: When Susi was a baby, she suffered from seborrhea squamosa neonatorum, which was a disease of her skin.

A functional illness of the sebaceous glands is marked by a morbidly increased discharge in the amount of the sebaceous matter, usually resulting in an excessive amount of sebum.
