1. To make or to build something: Oliver and Jill are planning to have their house fabricated before winter comes.
2. To make up or to create something; such as, a story in order to fool or to trick people: The journalists at the local newspaper were fabricating sensational stories in order to sell more copies of the latest edition.
To devise an excuse or to come up with a deception.

1. A story, a lie, an excuse, etc. that has been invented or made up and is not true: Leslie was told by his mother to quit making up fabrications about how the window was broken by someone else and not by him.
2. The construction of something: It was obvious that the contractor was making a big effort to have his carpenters complete the house as soon as possible so they could start building another one that had been requested by the Roderick family.
A lie or a falsehood which is calculated to deceive another person.

The processes by which raw metals are made into alloys and useful products: David's son works for a company that produces various products with fabrication metallurgies; such as, wires, cooking pots and pans, filing cabinets, metal shelves, tools, etc.
fabricator (s) (noun), fabricators (pl)
1. A person who manufactures products to sell: Lester worked for a company that was a fabricator of leather belts.
2. Someone who falsifies or counterfeits something: Jolene was accused of being a fabricator when she told the police that she was injured by an elderly man who was crippled and lived down the street from her.
