(Latin: of, relating to, or resembling; compound of the suffixes -ule, "little, small" and -ar, "pertaining to, of the nature of, like"; and so, -ular is a combining form meaning: referring to something "specified": appendicular, molecular, pedicular; as well as, a combining form meaning "resembling" something specified: circular, globular, tubular)

ocular
1. In a microscope, the lens closest to the eye is termed the ocular (the eyepiece) whereas the objective lens is the lens nearest to the object being examined.
2. The light microscope today is usually binocular (with one ocular for each eye) and has a turret bearing a selection of objective lens.
3. Relating to, perceived by, or performed by the eye.
ocular crisis
The sudden onset of severe ocular pain and photophobia.
ocular migraine, retinal migraine
A migraine involving the eyes that results in the distortion of visual images, accompanied or followed by a headache.

An ocular migraine usually affects only one eye at a time. Image distortion generally begins in the center of the image and then moves to one side.

Images "gray out" or look wavy, and sight may be lost temporarily.

ocular pruritus
A subjectively perceived problem of or a complaint of itching around the eyes.

Similar to or pertaining to a relatively narrow strip of land projecting into water from a larger land mass (with water on both sides): Florida is officially the "Sunshine State" and it is also referred to as the Peninsular State.

The peninsular part is the visible area of the Floridian plateau which separates the depths of the Atlantic Ocean from those of the Gulf of Mexico.
