Since human activity developed new objects and concepts, they required new names and just about all of these came from Latin and Greek
These men proved the heliocentric concept by use of the telescope and wrote their findings in Latin.
Isaac Newton, discoverer of the law of gravitation and the principles of the laws of light, was considered one of the greatest figures in the entire history of science.
He wrote many of his works in Latin; including, Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (1687).
