Dystonia refers to the involuntary movements and prolonged muscle contraction, resulting in twisting body motions, tremor, and abnormal posture. These movements may involve the entire body, or only an isolated area.
Fibroleiomyoma usually arises in the myometrium (uterine smooth muscle), and the proportion of fibrous tissue increases with age.

Although it rarely occurs in soft tissue, it is common in the viscera. It is the most common soft tissue sarcoma of the gastrointestinal tract and uterus. The median age of patients is 60 years.
