pencil
The etymology or original meaning is a "little penis".

Penis originally meant "tail" and so was related to "brush", and only by extension was it made applicable to the "male sex organ" and it was in this sense that it was adopted into English as penis in the 17th century.

Pencil came through Old French pincel from Vulgar Latin penicellum, which is an alteration of Latin penicillum "paintbrush". This was a diminutive form of peniculus brush", which in turn was a diminutive of penis.
