dasymeter
An instrument for testing the density of gases, consisting of a thin glass globe, which is weighed in the gas, or gases, and then in an atmosphere of known density.
dasypedes, dasypaedes
Those birds whose young are covered with down (hairy fibers) when hatched.
dasyphyllous
Having very hairy leaves.
dasypod
An animal with hairy or rough feet; such as, the armadillo.
dasypygal
1. Having hairy buttocks; rough bottomed.
2. Etymology: from Greek dasy-, "hairy, dense" + pyg-, "buttocks".
