2. Unpleasantly loud and harsh; boisterous and disorderly.
3. Characterized by loud noise, shouting, and ribald laughter (rude and vulgar).
4. Behaving in a very rough and noisy way; such as, a raucous crowd.

1. A reference to being hoarse and harsh; such as, the sound of a voice.
2. In a rowdy manner, loudly.
raucousness
1. Making or constituting a harsh, loud noise.
2. Being loud, disorderly, boisterous, and unpleasant.
