zygomatico-

(Greek: the malar bone or the arch that the malar bone forms with the other bones to which it is connected)

So named because it "yokes" the bones of the face together with those of the skull.


zygomaticofacial
Pertaining to the zygoma (malar bone or cheek bone) and the face.
zygomaticofrontal
Pertaining to the zygoma (the bone that forms the prominence of the cheek) and the frontal bone
zygomaticomaxillary
Pertaining to the zygoma and the maxilla.
zygomatico-orbital
Pertaining to the zygoma and the orbit.
zygomaticosphenoid
Pertaining to the zygoma and the sphenoid bone.
zygomaticotemporal
Pertaining to the zygoma (bone that forms the prominence of the cheek) and the temporal bone.
