In pathology, the consumption of earth; Evidently there are some people in southern United States and in West India who suffer from the impulse to eat dirt and this urge or desire is termed chthonophagia.

Chthonophagia is a rarely used term for "geophagia" or "geophagy".

In zoology, relating to the surrounding of the esophagus; a reference to the nerve commissures and ganglia of arthropods and mollusks.

Macrophage that ingests dust particles.

The eating of excrement or dung (feces); said especially of dung beetles, chickens, etc.
A dung beetle is one example of a coprophagous cosumer.
