(Greek: "mass, bulk"; denotes relationship to a tumor, process of cancer formation; swelling, or mass)

adenoncus
Enlargement of a gland.
arthroncus (s) (noun), arthroncuses
The swelling of a joint in the body: The arthroncus in Harry's knee seemed to be the result of an accumulation of fluid under the knee cap; so, draining the fluid would relieve the arthroncus and discomfort.
blepharoncus
A tumor on the eyelid.
chronooncology (s) (noun), chronooncologies (pl)
An anticancer treatment based on the timing of drug administration: In addition, chronooncology also concerns the research dealing with the influence of biologic rhythms on new and abnormal growth of cells, or tumors.
glossoncus (s) (noun), glossoncuses (pl)
1. Any swelling of the tongue, including neoplasms.
2. A tumor of the tongue.
gonyoncus
Tumor of the knee.
iridoncus
Tumor or swelling of the iris of the eye.
maschaloncus
1. A tumor in the axillary (armpit) area.
2. A neoplasm in the axilla; a neoplasm refers to a new and abnormal growth of tissue, which may be benign or cancerous.
mastoncus
A tumor or swelling of the breasts.
nymphoncus
Swelling or hypertrophy of one or both labia minora: the smaller (minor) inside pair of labia (lips) of the vulva (the female external genitalia).
omphaloncus
A tumor of the umbilicus.
oncocidal
Destructive to tumors.
oncocyte
A large epithelial cell with an extremely acidophilic and granular cytoplasm, containing vast numbers of mitochondria; such cells undergo neoplastic transformation.
oncocytoma, onkocytoma
1. A glandular tumor that is chiefly composed of oncocytes, occurring most often in the salivary glands.
2. A tumor (as of the parotid gland) consisting chiefly or entirely of oncocytes.
3. A glandular tumour composed of large cells with cytoplasm that is granular and eosinophilic due to the presence of abundant mitochondria; occurs uncommonly in the kidney, salivary glands, and endocrine glands.
oncocytosis
Extensive onocytic metaplasia.
