A peritoneal fold (smooth serous membrane which lines the cavity of the abdomen) which extends from the diaphragm (thin muscle below the lungs and heart that separates the chest from the abdomen) and the front part of the left kidney to a region of the spleen, conducting the splenic vessels from the back wall to the spleen.
