A factor in dung necessary for the growth of the fungus Pilobolus; a fungus which grows prolifically on cow feces and facilitates the spread of lungworm larvae (glutinous spores that are forcibly ejected) by projecting them up to ten feet when the fungal sporangia explode, as they do when they ripen.
