adominoperineal
Relating to both abdomen and perineum, as in abdominoperineal resection of the rectum.
aeroperitonia, aeroperitoneum
Distention of the peritoneal cavity caused by gas.

The peritoneum is the membrane lining the abdominal cavity.

anoperineal
A reference to the anus and the perineum (the region between the thighs, bounded in the male by the scrotum and anus and in the female by the vulva and anus).
colpoperineoplasty
Plastic surgery of the perineum involving the vagina.
colpoperineorrhaphy
Repair of a lacerated vagina and perineum.
episioperineorrhaphy
Repair of an incised, or a ruptured, perineum and lacerated vulva; or repair of a surgical incision of the vulva and perineum.
extraperineal
Not connected with the perineum.
hemangiopericytoma
A tumor composed of spindle cells with a rich vascular network, which apparently arises from pericytes.

It may be benign or malignant and usually occurs in the lower extremities or retroperitoneum.

isoperimeter
A figure having a perimeter equal to that of another.
isoperimetircal
1. The study of isoperimeters.
2. Having equal perimeters of circumferences; such as, isoperimetrical figures or bodies.
isoperimetry
1. That branch of geometry which deals with isoperimetrical figures, and the problems connected with them.
2. The science of figures having equal perimeters or boundaries.
mucoperichondrial
A reference to the mucoperichondrium.
mucoperichondrium
Perichondrium having a mucosal surface, as that of the nasal septum.
mucoperiosteal
Consisting of mucous membrane and periosteum.
mucoperiosteum
1. Periosteum (a dense membrane composed of fibrous connective tissue that closely wraps (invests) all of the bones) having a mucous surface, as in parts of the auditory apparatus.
2. Periosteum that has a mucous surface; or mucous and periosteal surfaces combined to form a membrane.
